The reason for my long absence...

I've been meaning to post this for a while now but somehow couldn't get to it without an answer from a specific place. The truth is, I didn't want to jinx anything but hey! no offense okay?! 'What the hell is this person talking about o.O?' right? The answer is to be found right below so read along to find out…

I am finally done with university ヘ(^_^ヘ)(ノ^_^)ノ

The results were in on June 15th and then on, it was finally and officially over!! I can't believe it, I really can't... Will someone please slap some awareness into me!!
Leaving one chapter behind, I am stepping on to another one. (sounds so cliché BUT true) *shrugs*

Applied for a language school in Tokyo by the end of May and just recently got my visa approval from the Japanese Bureau of Immigration.

To wrap it up;

I've been studying like crazy for my finals while gathering and translating legal documents for the school application in Tokyoland, working part time to collect some money for Tokyo and also, I was trying to keep up with my limited social life =/

I booked my flight to September 19. The flight will be taking off at around 6:30PM and hopefully land to Tokyo September 20 around 11 something in the morning.

Things have been hectic and I totally ignored the blog so sorry!! Though I will be posting loads when I get to Tokyo! I’ve took some photos of my messy room and items which I recently packed for my luggage so I’ll begin by uploading those.

Yes, I did not answer any of the 4chan related e-mails and yes, I've read them all. If you want to know what 4chan is or how it works, simply google, ask wiki or just go to the forum, spend some time and see for yourself it's that simple. Don't worry, 4chan does not bite(or does it).

So... International Music Festival is taking place in my city this month. And next month, there will be the Jazz Festival. I'm dying to see some names in both the events.

I did not have the time to see Arvo Pärt @ the international music festival, though I will definitely make time for Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra!! So I'll be enjoying the Vienna Philharmonic June 23rd.

Skipping to the Jazz Festival and July...

This year, I have decided to celebrate my bday with some close friends. I might be leaving the country for at least a year and a half so I wanted to do something different and special if and before that happens.

I have different groups of friends. I know that some would not get along if I gather them in one place so I've decided to split friends into two groups.

On 7th of July, I will enjoy some Imogen Heap with group#1.

On the 10th, with group#2, I will be enjoying some good old Chick Corea Freedom Band.

Hello~
It's been a while, I know though I'm not sorry ;p I've been through this hell of an exam period and needed some time to rest. I'm done resting and back on track! I've saved many things to post so I'm going to be sharing loads very soon so check back often.
I'll be moving away to a new country in a couple of months and will be living alone. So when I browse through Etsy or any other place alike, I check for home decor accessories and furniture.
Here are the latest items I would love to have in my house. These posts are going to help a lot in a few months when I am going to have to buy some stuff for the house. There are some nice fabricated furniture and accessories out there for home decor but I like my stuff to be more unique and personal. That is why I always love to browse through Etsy to find me some unique handmade items to buy.

I was gazing through the 4chan forum /a/ thread when I came across a new anime trailer. I can not wait to see this one, it looks amazing!! I thought I'd share the trailer here with all.
For those of you who do not know about the 4chan forums... Do not enter to see if you are under 18 and I mean it! Disturbed people, topics, threads, photos, conversations, videos and the derivatives of the previous are what you will find. And because it's all that and more, I like it ;p Not your average threads and forums so watch out and beware kekekeke^^

Yo!! It's been a while since I last posted. Sorry for the wait!! I was practically buried under books and notes, studying for the midterms and I still am. Like in all exam periods, I also watch anime and read loads of manga. They keep me sane!! I wanted to share the trailers of the 2 animes I've been watching.
The first one is Ergo Proxy. Dark anime! From psychology to philosophy; from Greek mythology to art history, plus several -ists and -isms packed in one! Derrida, Decartes, Berkley, Lacan, Michalengelo, Icarus and many more... Ergo Proxy blew my mind. Plot, colors, drawings, sound, characters... Each were highly successful therefore I highly recommend this to all, over +20 who like some dark, mind poking anime ;)

The second anime I've been watching is called Durarara. This one is created by the exact same people who did Baccano! and is still going on. It's sick and amazing :) Characters are exaggerated, unique, disturbed and the plot is very well written(so far). Motion, drawings and all the other elements that make up a good anime are gathered in this one. Very entertaining, not so much mind boggling like Ergo Proxy but definitely worth watching. It will entertain you I promise!!! No matter whatever anime genre you like, you're going to love this one. Oh, and if you haven't checked Baccano! out yet, be sure that you do!! 13 episodes in total, too many well drawn and written characters; simple, clean, fun story line.

Also, to be honest, I don't really like the Oscars or any other award show =/ Me don't watch usually except for the opening red carpet ceremonies where I get to see all these beautiful ladies and handsome gents walking down the red carpet with their designer dresses-suits looking chic and shiny-high and mighty ;p From head to toe, looking all glamorous, they dress to be looked at and I like to do so. Naughty Japanese ^^'

A friend of mine just came back from her 3 months ship journey. She flew out to Japan first; stayed there for a week or so and took a cruise ship to Dubai, Singapore, India and some more countries which I can not remember at the moment. Sounds amazing doesn't it?!? She brought back some snacks and little gifts for me :) I mostly loved these cocoa cookie bars covered with chocolate in the shape of a penis!! XD You have got to love the Japanese. They come up with these whimsical, naughty, fun things that makes it impossible for you get bored there on Japan land ^__^ She bought them from Okinawa where she loved. I haven't been there yet but I most certainly will be some time around next year. She couldn't carry the whole box of cookies because the box was too large but she cut off the front of the box and squeezed it in her luggage because she just had to bering it;

A Tasty-Fun Discovery

A good friend of mine introduced me to this very cute restaurant last night. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera with me so I took the photos with my cell-phone's camera. Though the phone's battery died soon after we ordered so I did not have a chance to take a photo of what I was eating yet again ><>
The entrance was kind of hidden and mysterious. Right after you slide the door you hear a cat "moeeewww"ing and a frog "wraaack"ing. I'm not going to talk a lot about the interior now because I will be updating this post with photos of the interior. Promise with better photo quality this time!!

Beauty Page 24~~ First Round of Sasa Orders Has Arrived!!

I wasn't expecting the pack this early!! I was happy with the fast shipment and was kind of hoping for the pack to arrive sooner than the ones before. The reason? I had some bad reactions to some BRTC toner and cream. My face got all red, irritated and dry after couples of times of use. I've got really really sensitive skin and the toner I've used was heavily scented and I guess it contained alcohol. The cream was supposed to sooth my skin but dried it very badly!! Should have known better... So I needed my JUJU cream as soon as possible!! Guess I'm lucky ;p I'm trying not to touch my skin as much as possible so I'll be using the toner after a week when my face gets a bit hydrated and all the rash is gone! So it's going to take me more than 2 weeks to write a review on the toner and the BRTC serum. I'm not even sure if I should use any other product from BRTC (>.<) Anyways... Here are the photos of my package and the goodies it contained!!

Born in Belgium April 16th 1982, now residing in Montreal, Clio is active and creative in any possible way!! Disguises as your regular woman who rents houses by day. When night falls, she leaves her day skin behind, transforming into; Painter, illustrator and crafster extraordinaire Clio! She also runs this amazing store on Etsy, selling unique retro necklaces. The chit chat begin right after I sent a 'heads up' message, letting her know that one of her items was featured here on my blog. I found out about Clio's paintings later on when I went back to her store page to read a thing or two about her designs and herself. I should say, I love her kind of expression on canvas or any other material on which you can paint-scratch on. Her paintings are colorful, interesting, not at all ordinary; faces, places and figures have character!! Some disturbing but not at the same time :)

She's having a show in Montreal that opens the night of March 11th falling on a Thursday. You may see the detailed information below on the poster about the place and time of the show. Unfortunately, I live quite far away(I'm talking continents) from where the show is going to be so I won't be able to see her art live and get to meet her in person but if YOU are living anywhere near by, GET GOING!!

I have mentioned on the Vitacreme post that I was running out of moisturizer and toner. I also am running out of cleanser... So I decided to give some new products a try. I searched online through many web-sites and did a detailed research and finally decided on what to try!! Winter has been harsh on my skin! My Avene Gel Cleanser is drying out my skin too much and the Anti-shine regulating lotion from the same brand is not hydrating or moiturizing enough in winter. I guess both the products are better for summer. So I'm replacing the cleanser with JUJU Aquamoist HA Foam Cleanser. I still am to order this one from Sasa...

Skipping on to the things I've ordered... A Pore Tightening Serum from BRTC(US$25.30 for 30ml); JUJU Cosmetics Aquamoist Vitamin C Cream(US$15.20 for 50g)&Toner(US$12.30 for 120ml). I'll be using JUJU as my day cream while applying Vitacreme as a night cream and see how it will all work out(hopefully great!). JUJU products had around 300 something raving reviews from the users on Sasa. So I thought, these can't go wrong. They're also for all skin types and really really cheap!! People compared Creme de la Mer with JUJU's Vitamin C Moisture cream O_O

Professional Makeup Brush Set

I've mentioned on previous other posts that I do not use much makeup. I only apply a BB cream and blush(that is pretty seldom); use a mascara, lip balm and lip gloss. And those are basically all I apply on my face. Why? Because I really don't know how to apply proper makeup. Me never had the urge or passion to learn how to =/ I always thought that bare face was the best!! I feel uncomfortable with makeup and my face does not need much coverage anyways... My eyes are the best features on my face IMO so I like to put emphasis on them with a volumizing mascara and sometimes by using an eye liner.
But...
Lately, I've been thinking. . . . Thinking that I should at least learn some things or two about makeup. So I bought a professional makeup brush set and begin to watch some makeup tutorials on YouTube. I discovered loads of people on YouTube who give makeup tutorials and call themselves "guru"s. To tell you the truth, I only enjoyed watching two Tubers; first being Michelle Phan and second BeautyQQ.

Trip to Seoul!!

Me and some friends are planning a trip to Korea this summer. Most probably, I will be joining the fun from Japan.. The trip packs you buy from Japan to Korea are very cheap though it's only for a short amount of time. Maybe I'll get to find some longer package because my friends are planning to stay in Seoul for like a month. Unfortunately, I can not make it that long since I have to go back to Japan but I'm planning to squeeze as much time as possible into this trip!! I love Korea XD
So~ I bought a Lonely Planets Seoul travel guide from Ebay for cheap and have been reading it a lot lately, trying to get familiar with the city ;p Just for the sake of sharing, here's the guide I purchased online from Ebay. It's the most recently published one so does contains the latest Seoul updates. I will however buy another guide book from Japan just before I take my leave.

Loads of sweets from Japan this month!! Another good friend of mine sent me this cute little box that contains small white&pink Japanese rice candy and a jelly in the shape of a tiger. The reason why the jelly is shaped as a tiger is because this is the year of the tiger according to the Chinese astrology. So this was a Chinese new years gift for me from dear Michiko ^__^

Japanese Sweets&Snack Q

I had a friend visit me from Tokyo last week ^_^ We've been good friends for almost 2 years now and it was very nice to see her, spend time with her for a whole week!! Since I love almost every Japanese sweets and snacks, I told her to bring me the ones she love so that I don't have to order the whole sweets and snacks section of the Supaa or Kombini(super market-convinience store). My eyes brightened up as soon as I saw the package prepared for me and of course I begin to drool ;p So here's what I've been eating the whole week kekeke~~ ~_^

>The first three photos are Japanese rice crackers. There are many types of rice crackers that you can find in Japan; salty plain, with sugar, with spices etc. This one Fuyumi brought me is the plain salty one and it's so damn delicious!
>>The second set of photos... Hmm how should I explain... Fried crackers dipped in melted Japanese brown sugar. They do seem like a pack of poop but believe me, they taste so good!!
>>>Below that are Fujiya's Country Ma'am Choco Chip Soft Cookies with two flavors; vanilla and cocoa. There are also packs with 5 flavors, strawberry being one of them I love! They are smaller in size compared to an average American chocolate chip cookie.

Beauty DIY~~ Aspirin Mask

I've been searching for the right type of exfoliator for my skin when I came across this skin recipe. The first time I read the title I was more than hesitant to try this mask out so I ended up skipping to other DIYs paying not much attention to this recipe. I came back to it when I coinsidentaly bumped into some raving reviews on this home made exfoliator most recently. It is said that this mask exfoliates deeply and gently while preventing your skin from aging though making it a bit more voluranable to the negative effects of the sun. So if you ever decide on trying this mask, make sure you apply your sunscreen(at least spf 30) after words.
I haven't tried it yet though after reading so many positive reviews on it, I will definitely give it a go.
So here's how it's done...

Ingredients
1- 3 tablets of uncoated aspirin.
2- 2-3 drops of honey.
3- 1-2 tea spoon water.

Wet the apirin tablets with water. Dissolve them in the water(smash with fingers). Add the honey in and blend well. Apply on face with circular motion, gently exfoliating your face. Let it sit for 15 minutes then wash off with lukewarm water.

I simply love and adore this magazine!! It serves it's purpose. Consists of pages and pages of street style shots from all over Tokyo. It's the perfect monthly Japanese street style look book. Although it does not cost all that much in Japan(around 540-600yen), it's quite expensive when you intend to buy it online. You can jump to THIS site to subscribe and pay US$126 to receive a copy of this amazing magazine every month for a year. Still not as cheap as buying it from Japan yourself but better than any online deal out there!!

I find it really hard to leave my warm, comfortable and cozy bed in a cold winter morning and hard to get in at night. The sheets are too cold that it's almost a pain to slip in my bed on winter. So what I do is; I use my blow dryer to warm up the sheets and my pillow right before I slip in ~.^ Try it, and you'll find it easier to fall asleep and get a warm good night's rest on a cold winters day.

Today, I bought me a new pair of Adidas sneakers. They're silver with white stripes on both sides. At the ankle part of the shoe you can see a purple line circling around the back. Interior is also purple... The lighting in my room is horrific and I happened to take the photos at night without flash. So the purple stripe may look a bit dark blue-ish but it's not!!

I have always loved instant cameras. We owned one when I was a kid. We used to move around a lot so my mom would throw anything that she thought was unnecessary and of course, everything other than her own things were not necessary =/ So we ended up losing our Polaroid camera along the way. I would buy a vintage Polaroid if I could find it's film easily online or in stores but it's hard to find :( I like the vintage feeling of the photos taken with an old Polaroid. Nowadays, the only company I know of that produces instant cameras is Fuji. There are three models and Mini 25 is the one I want so badly!! This one is an in between model. Does not have a self timer like it's upgraded version but takes good photos, has got good zoom, flash, a tiny mirror so that you can see your facial expression when you're taking a photo of yourself and an auto focus.

My Kose White Deep Moisture Body Milky Cream from Bobo Dave has finally arrived and in a very short amount of time!! Great service, “Hurray!! \(^_^)/” for Bobo Dave!! I’m going to get to try the cream out for the first time tonight, right after a nice warm bath and see if it works as good as it did for my hands. I’ll write a review on it after a week or so…
The packaging is a bit smaller than Bliss Naked Body Butter but it’s only natural since Bliss is 250ml and the Kose tubes are 160ml each. I’m almost done with Bliss but the new tube is on it’s way ^^ If Kose works as well as Bliss does or like how the hand cream works on my hands, I won’t be buying Bliss for a while and go on with Kose. It’s a lot cheaper!!

All I did was to look at her daily and special events style photos. So I can only speak of things I have seen and I am very much liking what I've seeing so far from her pale skin to her short hair style; from the colors and styles she choose, matching perfectly to her body shape (also complimenting her skin tone) to her choice of accessories. Today I went to an Italian restaurant with my best friend and had some pasta polpetta di carne(my favorite) with a glass of red Merlot. Do I sound old? Right after that we hopped in a small cozy cafe to eat chocolate suffle and drink coffee. Yumm~ *Q*
I did not have my camera with me so I couldn't take any pics but I sure will next time and share!!

I have just purchased this shower cap from Ebay. I used to use the thin ones before, the disposable ones but they get ripped very easily and I somehow managed to get my hair wet every time I used them. So I decided to buy a better one and see how it will work. Beauty Page 13~~ Kose CoenRich Q10 White Hand&Finger Red tube vs. Orange tube Review

Both bottles are 80gr each. The red tube is called 'Deep Moisturizer' and it's texture is more rich compared to the orange tube. The orange tube is more milky, therefore it's easier to apply onto your hands. They both leave a slight sticky feeling though it does not bother me. The red tube moisturizes more than the orange one so it's great for harsh winter weather or for really dry hands. Both have a whitening property which I think really works!! My hands absorbed the orange tube faster but I guess it's only natural since the red tube is more rich. I can not say that you can easily carry them around in your purse. I usually prefer smaller tubes to carry around in my bag but I think the size is good for it's price.

I've mentioned on a previous post that I've purchased another pouch from Etsy and here it is. It has arrived earlier but I didn't have the time to share =/ This one is quite retro ;p I love scooter prints and I also love an actual scooter. Too bad my city is not very scooter friendly. If I lived in Italy, Spain or some small island, I'd definitely own a white scooter and many colorful vintage helmets to go with it!! ^___^
I took the photo at night with flash so the color looks black but it's actually navy blue. I put my mascara, hand cream, lip balm, lip gloss, blush, sunscreen and small mirror in this one. It's not so small or not too big. I can fit many things in it and it does not take up much space in my bag.

Suggestions:
I haven't tried but maybe this would work well with another brand like Lancome Hypnose. Hypnose separates my eye lashes perfectly and make them feel bushy and rich. However, it does not give your lashes the effect that they are long, at least not like Majolica Majorca. So these two or some other brand you like would work great both ways. Though if you are looking for long lashes only, this is a great product for you.

I've been using this product for a long while. If you like to look natural like I do and if you have got fair skin, this blush is just for you. The brand also has very nice rose tones I want to try next time. Daily, I do not use much makeup. Just a blush and a mascara and lip gloss is enough for me. I occasionally use a BB cream but it's too rare. I sometimes don't even use a blush. You can find this on either ebay or strawberrynet.

Because I have a sensitive nose, I usually do not wear perfume, instead I use a body splash. There has been loads of perfumes I tried using and testing from very pricey ones to cheap but haven't stuck with any one of them. Scent is very important for me so I want the perfect one!! I usually don't go for Eu de Perfume because they smell strong and over powering. Most Eu de Toilettes are fine, not over powering but I haven't been satisfied with the scents. Perfume smells differently on each skin. The one that smells good on you probably won't smell the same on me. So even if you're using the same perfume with some other, it is not the same. However, I still don't like to use the same perfume with people. There has only been one brand that stole my heart and it's YOHJI by Yohji Yamamoto Pefume for Women. It is not being sold in my country anymore and I will shortly place an order from Japan if I ever find it at a reasonable price because the ones on ebay are just very pricey!!! I can not describe how it smells exatly but it's got a very pleasant, not-overpowering scent that suits my skin perfectly. Not many people can find and use this perfume so it's rare. Use it casually, at night, any time... I say, if you can find it anywhere at a reasonable price, try it!!

I love this group Japanese alternative rock band!! It's been a while since I last listened to JRock... Made a comeback with Radwimps. It's actually hard to say that they are Jrock in general. They are also alternative and have a different sound. I love the vocal's voice and unique style. It's nice to hear their sound, I think they're pretty entertaining. I've read that the vocalist is half French and spent a good deal of time in US so his English is pretry good. They also have English songs. I say go check them out!!

Here's another beauty tip Song Hye Gyo shared with the reporters for brightening. If it's Hye Gyo giving the tip, you have got to try no matter what! She's got one of the most clear and porcelain skin that makes you want to do whatever it takes to achieve the same look. So here's one of the things she says she does to achieve that bright skin;

You'll Need:
> 1/2 table spoon of honey
> 1 table spoon water
Mix them throughly and apply on your face every fortnight before going to bed. Let the mask sit on your face for about 15-20 minutes then wash it off with lukewarm water. Apply the mask after cleaning your face and before applying your moisturizer.

It's been a long while since I last watched an anime. I usually stick with manga these days and they as well have gotten fewer than usual. Couple of days ago, a hard core otaku friend sent me a message that read "A new Mahjong anime!! Koizumi, Putin, Papa Bush, Yulia Tymoshenko, and the Pope are playing mahjong to decide the fate of the world against the Nazi empire who has secretly built a new empire on the surface of the moon and Hitler is back for revenge." My reaction 1- O_O 2- *w* 3- XD "MUST WATCH"!! After Hetalia, I think this is going to be one of my favorite political animes. You should know that I've been playing Japanese Mahjong for a long while now(and no, it's not the game featured on your cell phone. That's Chinese Mahjong.)^_^ My Japanese friends call me 'ojiisan' for that but I really don't care. Me likes the game!! Maybe I should go read it's manga first... oO For those of you who are wondering, the name of the manga is: Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku

To tell you the truth, I don't need anti-aging around both my eye and lip areas. I purchased this serum because of the reviews I read online on how it magically gets rid of the puffiness and dark circles on your under eye and that, I needed!! I stay up pretty late and sleep 'till late since most of my time needs to be spent in front of the computer. So did this work? It did!! And I'm beginning to think that it's got some magical thingy in it that works on the second use or even the first!! I am loving this product and not only because it works. It's all natural, paraben and alcohol free plus, not tested on animals!! The last one goes for all Caudalie products. It's very easy to apply and the tiniest amount is more than enough for both your eyes and around your lips.

Who should use?
If you begin to see some fine lines around your eye and lip area, go for this product!!
If you, like me, are a night person and hate to see puffed eyes with dark under eye circles early in the morning, this is just the product for you!!

Suggestion:
You may use another product after Caudalie Vinexpert just to moisturize the skin around the lips and eye area.

I'm obsessed with one alcoholic beverage these days. Whenever I go out with friends to a bar or some night club, I search for Sangria!! I'm just hooked!! My classical drink used to be red wine and I guess I did not drift that far away from it since Sangria is also made with red wine. Put loads of sliced oranges and apples in a huge bucket full of red wine. Add sugar, juice and cinnamon in it and voila!! Spanish people know their thing ~_^ It's a great coctail drink, great party drink... Just great!! XD

Here's a
Basic Sangria Recipe taken from HERE

You'll Need:

3 1/4 cups ( 26 fl. oz) dry red wine
1 tablespoon sugar
Juice of 1 large orange
Juice of 1 large lemon
1 large orange, sliced thin crosswise
1 large lemon, sliced thin crosswise
2 medium peaches, peeled, pitted and cut into chunks
1 cup (8 fl. oz) club soda

Preparation:
Combine all the ingredients except for the club soda in a large punch bowl or serving pitcher, mixing well. Refrigerate overnight. Immediately before serving, mix in the club soda for added fizz. Ladle into cups with ice cubes.

I've just discovered this new online Korean clothes shopping site. The prices are very reasonable and the styles look tasty. Since I haven't purchased a thing here yet, I can not say much about the quality but I'm thinking not so good-not so bad. So you should be receiving a quality that equals to the price you pay.

Try to sleep on your back through out the whole night! Why? Because, sleeping on your back reduces gravitational pull on your face and gives your face a lifting effect. Also, your face won't come in contact with all those germs and bacteria attached to your pillow which may cause breakouts. Sleeping on your face also cause early sagging. As you get older, your face loses it's elasticity and you tend to have longer lasting pillow marks on your face in the morning. So do try to make, sleeping on your back, a habit for your face's own good ;]

I don't have anything I don't like about this product other than it's packaging maybe. It's the best shampoo I have ever come across!! There is also the Golden Repair series for brittle hair. If you use hair coloring, hair sprays, moose or any other related product a lot, I would recommend you to use the Tsubaki Golden Repair shampoo instead of this.

Where I live, you get to feel winter right when February knocks on your door hands full with snow and winds. Winter is not my favorite season of the year and I have quite good reasons to why;
1> Because I'm petite, I look like a little panda trying to keep myself warm with all those layers I pull on myself =/
2> It looks like I borrowed a wig from the wicked witch of the West because my hair never stays the way I style it. Rules of gravity do not seem to apply for my hair in winter o(>.<)o

As I have shared with you on an earlier blog, Hakugen Hokkairo is a Japanese disposable heat pack brand. There are pocket sizes and bigger ones that you can stick onto your body or carry around in your pocket. They heat up to 63(some 52) degrees Celsius. Some last up to 6 hours while others can last up to 12-24 hours. The little ones I carry around with me in my pouch last for up to 24 hours. I especially love the Hokkairos for shoes. You can wear them inside your flats in winter and keep the bottom of your feet warm. There are brands other than Hakugen like Kincho Donto. I bought this cute little pouch from Etsy to put my pocket hokkairos* and sanitary napkins in . My hand bags are usually very messy so it's hard to find what I'm looking for instantly. One of my New Years resolutions was to be a bit more tidy and this cute little thing helps out a lot in my bag. I have purchased one more pouch that is slightly bigger than this one.
